    About the Company We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland, the largest provider of health and disability services in New Zealand. Our organization serves over half a million individuals living in central Auckland, as well as providing regional services for Northland and greater Auckland. We also offer specialist national services across the country. Our main facilities include Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre, and Starship Children's Hospital, all situated in central Auckland. As a part of Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand, we are responsible for the daily operations of the health system, delivering services at local, district, regional, and national levels. About the Role We are currently seeking a Nurse Consultant for our Regional Cancer and Blood Services. This is a permanent, full-time position (1.0 FTE) designed for an experienced senior registered nurse who is passionate about quality and excellence in adult cancer care. In this new role, you will play a crucial part in our strategy to deliver cancer care closer to home, both in hospital and community settings throughout the Northern Auckland region. Your responsibilities will include facilitating and coordinating a culture of excellence in quality improvement and safety. You will provide professional and clinical advice, acting as a regional resource to ensure that effective systems and processes are in place to support our patients and their families across the region. Requirements We are looking for a senior nurse with a strong background in leadership and quality assurance, along with the ability to facilitate and manage change at both the Directorate and regional levels. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills: - Proven ability to lead quality improvement initiatives - Willingness to travel to regional sites as needed - Current registration as a nurse in New Zealand with an active Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) - A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field - A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in this specialty area For further details, please refer to the position description available upon request. The salary range for this position is NZ $130,154 to $140,764 per annum, depending on experience.
