About the Role As a Teacher-in-Training, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team, focused on empowering tamariki through open-ended learning and sustainable play. We believe in laying strong foundations for school readiness while celebrating the multicultural spirit of our Papatoetoe community. Our teaching team comprises passionate educators from diverse backgrounds, including Samoan, Cook Island, Indian, European, Chinese, Fijian, and Māori cultures. Together, we strive to create an inclusive environment where every child feels acknowledged and valued. This position is permanent, offering 35 hours of work per week from Monday to Friday. Requirements We are looking for candidates who: - Are enrolled in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma program - Possess a strong understanding of child-led curriculum and planning - Demonstrate knowledge of ECE Regulations, Te Whāriki, and values compliance - Show a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in their teaching practice - Bring passion, energy, and a focus on delivering quality education Benefits We offer a supportive environment that encourages your professional growth.
