About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Scaffolders to join our team for various roles in the Auckland region. As a Scaffolder, you will be responsible for the dismantling and assembly of temporary metal scaffolding to create work platforms and structures on building and industrial sites. While most of the work will take place in Auckland, flexibility to travel to different locations across the country is preferred.
Your duties will include:
- Determining job requirements through effective planning and arrangement of scaffolding
- Selecting and preparing necessary materials for scaffolding projects
- Loading and unloading scaffolding and equipment on-site
- Erecting scaffold structures by lifting and positioning sections and bolting pipes together
- Establishing platforms and implementing safety measures
- Conducting inspections of scaffolding for safety and making repairs as needed
- Installing guard rails and safety netting
- Maintaining a clean workspace, including equipment and tools
- Adhering to health and safety requirements
- Performing any other duties as assigned
Pay Conditions
The pay rate for this position ranges from a minimum of $29.66 per hour to a maximum of $34.00 per hour, depending on your level of experience. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work each week.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 2.5 years of relevant scaffolding experience or a relevant qualification
- Strong interpersonal skills, good time management, and an excellent work ethic
- Flexibility to work in various locations throughout New Zealand
- A commitment to continuous learning and skill development within the industry
- A dedication to maintaining health and safety practices on-site
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
Location
You may be required to work in multiple locations across New Zealand, including regions such as Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
This is a permanent, full-time role. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or residents, or hold a valid New Zealand work visa.
