About the Role
We are seeking a Team Leader for our Orderly Services at Timaru Hospital and associated local campuses. This permanent, full-time position plays a crucial role in our clinical support team, which is essential for the smooth and efficient delivery of hospital services.
As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for proactively organizing the orderly team to ensure daily operations run smoothly. You will facilitate a consistent service delivery approach by providing staff with the necessary coaching and training to perform their duties safely. Additionally, there will be occasions when you will take on some orderly duties yourself.
About You
We are looking for an individual with proven leadership and coaching skills, along with experience in a healthcare environment. Your background should include providing services to various stakeholders, including patients. An understanding of budget management is important, as is the ability to think, plan, and act strategically. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, and prior experience as an orderly would be advantageous.
Other key attributes for this role include:
- Flexibility and adaptability in prioritizing tasks to meet service demands
- Proven experience in staff rostering
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office
- The right to live and work in New Zealand
- A current New Zealand Driver's Licence
