About the Role We currently have an opening for a Diet Cook at our Croft site. This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, spread over five days. We are looking for a dependable individual who enjoys interacting with the elderly and finds joy in preparing and serving delicious meals that brighten their day. As a Diet Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving wholesome meals that are freshly made each day. You will collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to ensure that the kitchen remains a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment. Success in this role requires the ability to multitask and demonstrate effective communication skills with both staff and residents. Requirements The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: - A passion for food and cooking - Experience in preparing, cooking, and serving wholesome meals - A willingness to learn and enhance culinary skills - Excellent communication abilities and a flexible, can-do attitude - Knowledge of texture-modified foods and allergens - Strong time management skills We seek an individual who has a friendly disposition and enjoys regular interactions with rest home staff and residents.
