About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Line Chefs with formal qualifications from New Zealand to join our team on a 14:7 fly-in-fly-out roster. This role offers the opportunity to balance your professional career with your personal life, as you will work on-site for two weeks before returning home to New Zealand for a week off. Please note that we are only accepting applications from New Zealand citizens at this time.
This position involves preparing and cooking large-volume, high-quality meals for substantial numbers of people, sometimes serving over 3,000 individuals daily. You will be responsible for following set menus and adhering to strict food safety procedures, including HACCP knowledge. Working collaboratively with your team, you will help maintain high standards in our kitchen, contributing to a positive and respectful culture. Shifts may include day and/or night work, with hours ranging from 10.5 to 12 hours per day.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- New Zealand citizenship (no visa required)
- A New Zealand Certificate in Cookery Level 4 or higher
- Experience in bulk or fast-paced commercial kitchens
- Flexibility and a team-first attitude
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination
- Strong time management skills and resilience, as this role is physically demanding
