About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Line Chefs with formal qualifications who are based in New Zealand to join our team on a 14 days on, 7 days off fly-in-fly-out roster. At this time, we are only accepting applications from New Zealand citizens. This position is physically demanding yet rewarding, offering financial, professional, and personal growth without requiring you to give up your home life.
As a Line Chef, you will work two weeks on-site, followed by one week off in New Zealand. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking large-volume, high-quality meals for up to 3,000 people daily
- Following set menus and adhering to food safety procedures (HACCP knowledge is essential)
- Collaborating with your team to maintain consistently high standards
- Working day and night shifts, with either 10.5 or 12-hour working days
- Contributing to a positive kitchen culture built on respect and teamwork
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- New Zealand citizenship (no visa required)
- A New Zealand Certificate in Cookery Level 4 or higher
- Experience in bulk or fast-paced commercial kitchens
- Flexibility and a team-first attitude
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination
- Strong time management skills and resilience, as this role is physically demanding
