About the Role We are currently seeking New Zealand registered teachers, either in Primary or Early Childhood Education (ECE), to join our team as Reliever Teachers. This position offers the flexibility you need to achieve a better work-life balance while having a significant impact on the learning and development of children in the Timaru region. As a Reliever Teacher, you will collaborate with permanent staff and engage in the daily activities of the classroom. You will be guided on where your support is needed, but we also encourage you to take the initiative and work proactively as part of our team. Each day will bring new experiences, as our relievers have the opportunity to work across all four of our centres in South Canterbury, each offering a unique philosophy and culture. Requirements To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria: - A New Zealand qualification in Early Childhood Education or Primary (BEd/Grad Dip) at Level 7 minimum - Current NZ Registration with the Teaching Council (either Provisional or Full) - International qualifications must be NZQA endorsed at Level 7 or higher and endorsed to work at the New Zealand ECE level - Eligibility to work in New Zealand Benefits Working at BestStart means becoming part of our whanau.
