About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team at The Doctors Christchurch South. In this permanent part-time position, you will work 23 hours per week over four days, from Monday to Friday. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive outstanding service, helping to create a positive healthcare experience. We are looking for someone who is motivated and eager to succeed. Ideal candidates will possess flexibility and adaptability, and demonstrate a positive attitude. You should be capable of working both collaboratively and autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Most importantly, we value kindness, care, and courtesy towards both patients and staff. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should bring the following qualifications and attributes: - Previous experience in administration and teamwork - Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred - A focused and friendly demeanor - Reliability and professionalism - Strong customer service skills with a meticulous attention to detail - Enjoyment of working in a diverse environment - Proficient computer skills - Solid decision-making and problem-solving abilities In your role as a receptionist, you will report directly to the Medical Centre Manager and will be responsible for: - Greeting and checking in patients upon arrival - Thriving in a busy environment - Answering incoming telephone calls - Booking appointments both over the phone and in person - Invoicing and collecting fees from patients - Handling cash - Performing various administrative tasks as needed Benefits We offer a modern, spacious workplace where you will find supportive colleagues and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
