About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Clinical Administrator to join our Adult Rehabilitation Services team at the Burwood Health Campus. This role is crucial for providing secretarial and administrative support to both the Burwood Adult Rehabilitation Unit (Ward CG) and the Burwood Spinal Unit (Ward HG). Reporting to the Team Leader of Adult Rehabilitation, you will help ensure the efficient operation of our departments and support the team in achieving their objectives.
As part of the Administration Pay Equity Claim settlement, this position is classified under the National Role Profile/Band 4A. For more information about the administration and clerical pay equity settlement, please refer to the PSA National Health Administration Collective Agreement.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing medical and general typing support, including transcribing and copy typing
- Booking and coordinating outpatient clinics using the SI PICS system
- Maintaining and managing outpatient waitlists
- Handling discharge documentation on HCS
- Actioning post-clinic outcomes
- Entering and collating data accurately as required
- Offering general administrative support and covering for service and relief of ward clerks
- Covering reception duties on wards and outpatient levels as needed
- Typing and circulating leave and call rosters when ward clerks are on leave
- Communicating and organizing clinical review meetings
- Upholding patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
About You

- Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Previous experience in a health administration role would be advantageous
About the Service
The Adult Rehabilitation Services include the Burwood Adult Rehabilitation Unit (BARU) and Burwood Spinal Unit (BSU). Located on the Burwood Campus, these services provide rehabilitation support for patients with spinal impairments and those under 65 years with neurological and general rehabilitation needs, such as stroke, non-traumatic brain injury, hypoxic brain injury, and other neurological conditions. Our interdisciplinary team works closely with whānau and carers to ensure effective communication regarding assessments, goal setting, and the completion of rehabilitation plans, all aimed at delivering optimal care.
