About the Role We are currently seeking Experienced Structural Steel Fabricators to enhance our operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our projects across six regions, so flexibility in work locations is preferred. We are looking for organized and trustworthy individuals who take pride in their craftsmanship and are motivated by results. As an Experienced Structural Steel Fabricator, your key responsibilities will include: - Interpreting and following engineering plans, blueprints, and technical drawings - Assembling steel structures and securing them using bolts, rivets, or welding techniques - Installing structural steel components at various construction sites - Cutting, shaping, and welding steel materials to meet required specifications using both machine and hand tools - Inspecting and maintaining equipment and tools to ensure safe and effective operation - Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards - Collaborating with engineers, crane operators, riggers, and other tradespeople on-site - Performing repairs or modifications to existing steel structures as needed - Working independently or as part of a small team Requirements The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: - A minimum of 2 years' experience in steel fixing, welding, fabrication, or related occupations is preferred - A friendly demeanor and excellent work ethic are essential - Strong time management skills - A commitment to continuous learning and skill development within the industry - A sound knowledge of health and safety procedures - Reliability and a strong work ethic - Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test Benefits We offer competitive pay, with a minimum rate of $30.00 per hour, up to a maximum of $40.00 per hour, depending on experience. A minimum of 30 hours of work is guaranteed each week. Location This position will primarily require you to work across Auckland, Waikato, Northland, Nelson, Canterbury, and Otago.
