About the Company We are seeking a highly skilled contractor to join our team for a 12-month engagement aimed at delivering a significant community program focused on long-term social improvement and impactful change. Our initiative is built on the insights gained from a previous pilot and seeks to foster extensive community engagement. About the Role In this role, you will lead the next phase of a structured, values-based program designed to address complex social needs. Your contributions will play a vital role in creating meaningful pathways for individuals and families in our community. We are looking for a diplomatic and composed professional who is driven by outcomes and possesses the ability to navigate diverse stakeholder viewpoints effectively. Key Responsibilities Your primary responsibilities will include: - Developing and maintaining a comprehensive project management plan and implementation roadmap. - Coordinating access to external funding and managing drawdowns. - Leading a collaborative co-design process with a variety of stakeholders. - Overseeing the creation of a full Implementation Business Case. - Providing effective leadership and coordination across internal teams, governance groups, and external evaluators. - Ensuring the delivery of clear and concise project documentation and reporting. What You Bring To succeed in this role, you should have: - Proven experience leading projects within complex, multi-layered organizations, such as those in the public sector or social impact fields. - Previous experience in co-designing initiatives and working collaboratively with community groups and social agencies. - Exceptional emotional intelligence, demonstrating calmness under pressure and diplomatic skills to navigate various stakeholder perspectives. - A background in structured environments requiring resilience, such as social agencies involved in community-facing responsibilities, emergency response, or regulated public service. - A natural ability to collaborate while also being decisive, focused, and providing clarity in rapidly changing contexts. - Strong change management and stakeholder management skills, with the capability to influence at all levels. You'll Succeed in This Role If You Can balance empathy with achieving outcomes, maintain perspective in a highly scrutinized and purpose-driven environment, and demonstrate resilience and composure in ambiguous situations. You should also be able to quickly establish trust with a diverse range of partners and guide project delivery with confidence. If this opportunity resonates with you, we encourage you to apply for consideration or reach out to Kylie Brocket at kylie.brocket@findrecruitment.co.nz.
