About the Role We are currently seeking a Driver / Furniture Removalist to join our team in Timaru. In this role, you will be responsible for the professional packing, wrapping, stowing, loading, and unloading of household effects and furniture for both domestic and international shipments. We are also willing to assist successful applicants in gaining their truck license. Requirements The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes: - A full Class 1 driver’s license; additional driver’s license classes are an advantage - Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded, but not essential - A clean and tidy appearance, along with a good level of physical fitness and health - A positive, honest, reliable, and professional demeanor - Strong communication and customer service skills, as customer care is very important to us - The ability to lift items weighing up to 20 kilograms independently - The ability to lift heavy and awkward items - Willingness to pass a pre-employment drug test This is a full-time, permanent position with a guarantee of 40 hours per week. Regular working hours are typically Monday to Friday, with optional Saturday work available during peak periods.
