About the Role We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Livestock Supervisor, reporting directly to the Production Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving beef and lamb livestock from transport agencies and ensuring a consistent flow of stock to the processing rooms. You will lead a team of 15 to 20 staff, focusing on maintaining high standards of animal welfare and presentation, as well as compliance with all operational processes and procedures. Your ability to lead and motivate your team will be crucial in driving them to resolve day-to-day operational challenges and achieve both short- and long-term performance goals. Requirements To succeed in this role, you will need strong attention to detail, particularly when completing documentation such as stock receipts and kill agendas. The ability to train and upskill team members is essential to ensure the department operates efficiently. While good animal husbandry and knowledge of animal welfare are advantageous, they are not mandatory. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude towards staff management, accountability, and a commitment to empowering others to perform at their best. Previous experience in a similar leadership role is preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate: - Strong leadership skills - Prior experience in a similar supervisory position - Preferably good stockmanship experience, with empathy for animal welfare - Proficient computer skills - A solid commitment to health and safety While experience in this specific role is beneficial, we are open to providing comprehensive training for candidates who possess the right attitude and relevant experience.
