About the Role
We are seeking a talented professional to join our Marketplace team, focusing on the success of our Professional Sellers. In this role, you will be a crucial link between Trade Me and our key retail merchants. Your primary responsibilities will involve driving sales growth, building lasting relationships, and maximizing client retention. You will proactively work to understand the business needs of our clients and contribute to their e-commerce success on our platform.
Key Responsibilities
You will own and cultivate key relationships by managing a dedicated portfolio of retail merchants, serving as their main point of contact and developing multi-level, trust-based partnerships.
Your role will also involve driving revenue and growth. You will proactively identify opportunities for your accounts, upsell premium products, introduce new packages, present promotional opportunities, and develop strategies to expand our partnership while enhancing seller conversion rates.
Leveraging data will be essential for your success. You will analyze seller performance data, set up regular reporting, and translate your findings into actionable, data-driven insights and recommendations to help your clients thrive.
As a strategic partner, you will understand your clients' objectives, contribute to their retention, act as their internal advocate, and collaborate with our Product, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure their needs are met. Additionally, you will collaborate with other members of our Marketplace team to explore and develop additional revenue opportunities.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of three years of experience in an intermediate account management position, ideally with Key Account Management experience.
You should possess a proven ability to grow and strengthen relationships with clients across various levels, along with a track record of successful negotiation and persuasive presentations of commercial deals.
A background in digital sales or digital marketing, coupled with seasoned experience and in-depth knowledge of the e-commerce industry, digital marketing concepts, and online retail trends, is essential.
Strong analytical skills are necessary for identifying opportunities through effective data usage, as well as excellent presentation abilities to deliver compelling narratives. A genuine curiosity for uncovering and solving customer challenges is also important.
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems is desirable, and a relevant tertiary qualification is preferred.
