About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Quality Consultant to join our national team, working full-time from our Christchurch office. In this pivotal role, you will support the Quality Manager and collaborate with our clinical, digital, HR, and operational teams to enhance clinical quality assurance and health & safety governance.
Your responsibilities will include both strategic and hands-on tasks. You will support audits, develop policies, lead training sessions, monitor risks, and review incidents. Additionally, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with New Zealand's health and safety legislation and sector standards such as Nga Paerewa.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Be a New Zealand Registered Healthcare Professional with a relevant Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
- Preferably hold a relevant postgraduate qualification in areas such as Public Health, Health & Safety, or a similar field.
- Have experience in clinical quality improvement or health and safety leadership.
- Understand New Zealand health and safety legislation and be confident in applying the Nga Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standard.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be working across various levels of the organization.
- Demonstrate confidence in managing audits, leading training, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Be based in Auckland or Christchurch, with a preference for Christchurch.
