About the Role As a Traffic Controller with us, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of traffic flow in various environments, including construction sites and work zones. We offer long-term opportunities, with an average of 45 hours of work per week. Your responsibilities will include: - Directing and managing traffic flow in and around construction sites and areas requiring traffic management - Installing and maintaining traffic control devices, such as cones, barriers, and signs - Monitoring traffic patterns and adjusting management plans as necessary - Responding swiftly to emergencies to ensure the safety of all involved parties Requirements To be successful in this role, you should meet the following minimum requirements: - A current, valid TTM-P, TMO, or STMS CAT A/B certification - A full class 2 license is beneficial but not mandatory - Familiarity with Christchurch and local roadways is preferred - Strong communication skills to promote teamwork - Exceptional problem-solving abilities, especially under pressure - Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and nights - A reliable and positive attitude Benefits We offer competitive hourly pay rates, with weekly pay based on your relevant certifications, licenses, and experience.
