About the Role We are currently seeking a motivated Roading Labourer to join our teams in Christchurch and contribute to essential roadwork projects. Location: Christchurch (with opportunities for away work) Start: Immediate start available Pay Rate: $25 per hour plus generous penalty rates for night shifts and away work What You Will Be Doing In this role, your responsibilities will include: - Assisting with traffic management on various roadwork projects - Setting up and removing cones, barriers, and signage - Directing traffic to ensure the safety of the public and workers - Supporting construction and maintenance crews - Working a variety of shifts, including day, night, and away work Requirements To be successful in this position, you will need: - A full, clean Class 1 driver’s licence (or an international equivalent) - Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and away work - The ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, with ongoing random testing - A clean criminal record - Strong communication skills, reliability, and a positive attitude Previous experience in traffic management or roadwork is an advantage, though not essential.
