About the Role We are currently seeking a motivated Traffic Controller to join our hardworking crew in Christchurch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to engage in hands-on work across multiple sites. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring that worksites operate safely and efficiently. Each day will present new challenges, and you will play a crucial role in protecting workers, road users, and the public. Location: Central Christchurch Start: As soon as you are ready Pay Rate: $24 - $26 per hour What You’ll Be Doing In this position, you will be responsible for: - Setting up and removing temporary traffic management equipment - Directing traffic and pedestrians safely through active work zones - Communicating clearly with site crews and the public - Monitoring site safety and reporting any issues - Following Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and adhering to all site instructions Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following: - A full New Zealand driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle - Flexibility to work both day and night shifts - A good level of physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions - Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork - A dedication to health and safety practices Benefits We offer a range of benefits to our team members, including: - Weekly pay between $24 - $26 per hour - Night shift allowances - Consistent and ongoing work opportunities across Christchurch - Immediate start available with varied shift times - All personal protective equipment provided by the Tradestaff Christchurch team Apply online today and take the next step in your career with us!
