About the Role
We are currently seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our team on a permanent part-time basis, working 32 hours per fortnight. In this role, you will be instrumental in helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, and overall well-being. You will work under the guidance of a Registered Health Professional to deliver high-quality care in a safe and culturally respectful manner.
Shifts available per fortnight include:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8 AM to 12 PM or 10 AM to 2 PM
- Tuesdays and alternate Sundays: 4 PM to 8 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Coordinator and Nurse to monitor and report any changes in client well-being.
- Communicate with the Coordinator regarding rostering, availability, training, and cover.
- Provide services that uphold the mana and dignity of each client.
- Encourage participation in Activities of Daily Living to maximize client independence.
- Adhere to established care plans, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize technology to enhance communication and service delivery.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
About You
We are looking for individuals who are committed to delivering culturally safe, person-centered care. A willingness to work toward obtaining a Level 2 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (if not already held), with opportunities to progress to Levels 3 and 4, is essential. A current full driver’s license and confidence in using Microsoft applications and mobile apps are also required.
Preferred Experience
While previous experience as a caregiver in community, hospital, or aged care settings is desirable, we welcome all applicants who are eager to learn and grow in this role.
