About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Security Technician to join our team in Hamilton. This role involves some travel around New Zealand as needed. As a Security Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including servicing, installing, and maintaining Paradox Alarm systems, as well as other electronic security systems across domestic, commercial, and industrial settings. You will also have opportunities to work on automation, IT, and audiovisual projects.
We are looking for someone who matches our high standards of service excellence. You should be confident in liaising with clients, self-motivated to complete tasks on time, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as a Technician, with a background in security systems such as CCTV, alarms, or audiovisual systems. In addition, you will need:
- A personal pride in your work and the ability to deliver a high standard of workmanship
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal staff
- A full New Zealand driver’s license with the ability to drive a manual van
- A current Certificate of Approval (COA) for private security personnel, particularly for the categories of Security Technician and Security Consultant, is highly regarded
- A technical mindset with a passion for solving technical challenges
- A positive can-do attitude
- Experience with Gallagher, Integrity, or Inception systems, as well as motorised gates or audiovisual systems, will be considered an advantage, though not essential
