About the Role
We are looking for a qualified mechanical tradesperson or engineer, such as a Fitter, Fitter Machinist, or Mechanical Engineer, to join us as a Field Service Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in assembling, disassembling, and maintaining mechanical separation equipment, including high-speed separators and decanter centrifuges.
You will take pride in your technical expertise and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems. While you can work independently in the field, you also value collaboration with colleagues and customers when necessary.

What You'll Do
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering expert service and support to our customers across various industries, including Marine, Brewing, Wastewater, and Rendering.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to a culture of safety by reporting incidents and promoting best practices.
- Servicing, troubleshooting, and commissioning Alfa Laval separation equipment.
- Reading and interpreting technical documentation, including engineering drawings, manuals, exploded diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical problems both onsite and remotely.
- Planning and preparing for service tasks to minimize downtime for our customers.
- Training customers on equipment features and operation.
- Writing detailed, professional service reports and updating our service execution system in real-time.
- Identifying sales opportunities and capturing Installed Base data during site visits.
- Advising customers on Service Portfolio offerings to enhance equipment lifecycle performance.
- Supporting and mentoring other service engineers.
What You Know
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring:
- Solid knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience with centrifuges, decanters, or separation machinery.
- Industry experience in sectors such as Marine, Brewing, Water Treatment, or Rendering.
- A basic understanding of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, EPC 50/60).
- Electrical troubleshooting experience is preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and service-related digital tools.
