About the Role
We are currently seeking House Officers who have completed their first postgraduate year to join us in January (Q1), April (Q2), July (Q3), or October (Q4) 2025 as part of our Annual Recruitment intake. This opportunity is specifically for PGY2 House Officers. If you are looking for a PGY1 position, please apply directly to the PGY1 advertisement on our website. Candidates must be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can verify your eligibility by visiting the Medical Council's website.
About You
We are looking for individuals who have completed at least their first postgraduate year. A strong knowledge of and commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how they can be applied in a healthcare context is essential. We value candidates who are eager to develop their skills in equity, particularly in support of Māori and minority groups.
About the Team

- Christchurch Women's Hospital
- Hillmorton Hospital and the Princes Margaret Hospital - Mental Health Services
- Burwood Hospital - Older Persons Health and Rehabilitation Services, including the Spinal Injuries Unit
- Ashburton Hospital - General Hospital, located south of Christchurch
