About the Role
We are currently seeking a caring and warm-hearted Kaitiaki to join our Papamoa village team. This role is truly special as it focuses on spending meaningful time with our residents, supporting their daily wellbeing, and assisting throughout the village, including in the kitchen.
As a Kaitiaki, your primary goal will be to bring joy, independence, and companionship to the individuals who call our village home. Your daily activities will include:
- Delivering morning and afternoon tea to residents and assisting with their eating and drinking needs
- Supporting kitchen operations through dishwashing and light duties
- Assisting with group and individual exercise sessions
- Collaborating with physiotherapists on activities designed to promote mobility and independence
- Helping residents with light personal activities, such as painting nails or going for walks
This is a permanent part-time position, requiring a commitment to a 4 days on, 2 days off roster, with shifts scheduled as follows:
- Morning shift: 7:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Afternoon shift: 2:45 PM – 9:00 PM
Please note that weekend work is included in this schedule.
Requirements
No previous experience is necessary for this role; what we seek is the right attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference in people's lives. We will provide full training to help you succeed.

- Possess kindness and patience, and enjoy spending time with others
- Are curious about aged care, physiotherapy, or community support and are eager for hands-on experience
