About the Role
We are experiencing continued growth in the region and are looking for an experienced and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team based in Hamilton. This position offers a varied and dynamic work environment, where no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to work across a range of industries, providing service and support for our quality equipment brands both in the field and in our workshop.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, installing, and commissioning diesel generators, rotary-screw and reciprocating air compressors, and Karcher industrial cleaning equipment. You will diagnose faults and perform preventative maintenance on-site and in our workshop, ensuring exceptional customer service and technical support. Additionally, you will complete accurate service reports and documentation and participate in after-hours breakdown support on a rostered basis.
What You Will Bring
We are looking for candidates with a mechanical and/or electrical trade background, along with proven diagnostic and fault-finding abilities. You should be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. A full Class 1 NZ driver's licence is required, and a Limited Electrical Licence (EST) or Electrical Registration is desirable but not essential.
