About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Scaffolders to join our team in the Wellington region. This role offers multiple opportunities, and we are looking for motivated and reliable individuals. You may be required to travel across the country to support our various projects, so flexibility in work locations is essential.
As a Scaffolder, your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing job requirements by planning and organizing scaffolding setups.
- Selecting and preparing necessary materials for each job.
- Loading and unloading scaffolding and equipment at job sites.
- Erecting scaffold structures by lifting and positioning sections and securely bolting pipes together.
- Establishing platforms and implementing safety measures.
- Inspecting and maintaining scaffolding to ensure safety and stability, making repairs as needed.
- Installing guard rails and safety netting.
- Keeping the workspace, equipment, and tools clean.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Performing any additional duties as assigned.
Pay Conditions
The pay range for this position is between $29.66 and $34.00 per hour, depending on experience. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work each week.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 2.5 years of relevant scaffolding experience or possess a relevant qualification.
- A friendly demeanor, strong time management skills, and a solid work ethic.
- Flexibility to work at various locations across New Zealand.
- A commitment to continuous learning and skill development within the industry.
- A dedication to maintaining health and safety practices on-site.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Location
This role may require you to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand, including Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
This is a permanent, full-time position. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or residents, or possess a valid New Zealand work visa.
