About the Role We are currently accepting applications from existing Health New Zealand employees for a part-time, fixed-term role to cover parental leave. This position is primarily an educator role, where you will work alongside a team of experienced educators. You may be required to work at both Wellington Regional Hospital and Hutt Hospital, with occasional travel to Porirua or Kapiti as needed. Your responsibilities will include delivering high-quality resuscitation education at all levels, recognizing and responding to patient deterioration, and providing scenario-based teaching. You may also have the opportunity to contribute to policy development, audit, and reporting. The salary for this position is based on the NZNO MECA Senior RN Grade 1 Step 1-2, which ranges from $114,025 to $121,444, or the PSA Allied Scientific and Technical Designated A Steps 1-2, ranging from $111,240 to $117,420. About the Team/Service/Location In this role, you will join a passionate and enthusiastic multidisciplinary team of educators as part of our district-wide Simulation Service. Please note that this position may require occasional travel to Kenepuru and Kapiti. About You We are seeking individuals who are excited and skilled in delivering high-quality, engaging, and implementable education to a diverse audience. You will support resuscitation standards through CPR training, early recognition of deteriorating patients, and instructing NZRC for nursing, midwifery, allied health, and medical staff (if accredited). Key qualities we are looking for include: - Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment - A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute - Participation in policy reviews, quality audits, and reporting The training roster will be planned in advance to accommodate employees' other commitments whenever possible. This role may suit someone working in a rostered and rotating reduced FTE position, with flexibility when adequate notice is provided.
