    Location: Wellington Regional Hospital, Kenepuru Hospital, and Hutt Valley Hospital (remote work option available) Contract: 12 months fixed-term, full-time (40 hours per week) About the Company Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is committed to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and dedicated to serving all New Zealanders. About the Role We are looking for a Level 3 or above Clinical Coder with experience in either ICD10-AM 11th or 12th Edition to join our Clinical Coding team at Capital Coast and Hutt Valley district. This position is intended for experienced coders only; we will not consider applications from trainees or individuals without experience in coding ICD10-AM 11th or 12th Edition. Additionally, we cannot accept candidates with experience solely in ICD10-CM. For the right candidate, we offer the flexibility of remote work, and there may be opportunities to extend this role beyond the initial 12 months. The salary range for this position is $82,878 to $88,168. About Our Team You will join a dedicated team of Clinical Coders responsible for processing approximately 120,000 inpatient events each year. Our team is committed to meeting reporting deadlines while maintaining high-quality coding standards. Therefore, it is essential that applicants demonstrate a proven history of teamwork, initiative, and accuracy. About You The essential qualifications and skills for this role include: - Previous experience in coding ICD10-AM 11th or 12th Edition - Proven ability to code independently and unsupervised - Intermediate or Advanced level ICD10-AM 11th Edition, ACHI, and ACS Clinical Coding (HIMAA) qualification or equivalent - Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal - Attention to detail, adaptability, and reliability - A proactive team player who demonstrates initiative Working at Health New Zealand At Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, we prioritize the well-being of our community.
