About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Class 5 Delivery Driver to join our distribution team. This role involves driving routes across the South Island and requires regular overnight stays. You will be responsible for delivering our plants to both retail and commercial customers, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service. You will be operating a DAF truck, where we emphasize a one truck, one driver philosophy. We offer a competitive remuneration package, including an hourly rate of $32, a Driver Incentive Scheme, and health insurance. Requirements To be successful in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes: - A minimum of one year of experience driving Class 5 vehicles - Experience in delivering goods to the retail sector, with multiple deliveries on route - A clean driving record and the appropriate licenses - A strong sense of pride in equipment and a commitment to maintaining high standards - Good health and fitness, capable of manual loading and unloading of stock - Strong communication skills - Availability to work 1-2 overnights per week and extended hours during our busy season from September to December We are looking for a customer-centric driver who is enthusiastic and willing to learn. During our peak seasons in Spring and Summer, you can expect to work over 60 hours a week across seven days, which will involve 1-2 overnight stays. Flexibility to assist with other tasks when not driving is also appreciated.
