Our focus is on safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork, and we are looking for individuals who share these values. About the Role We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver to join our team. This position requires working Monday to Friday, starting at 7 AM and concluding no later than 5 PM. During busy periods, you may also be required to work on Saturdays and participate in an on-call roster. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering LPG gas cylinders, engaging directly with customers, and providing them with accurate information and solutions when necessary. We will provide you with all the training and support you need to ensure you feel confident in your responsibilities. As you will be handling dangerous goods, it is essential that you possess strong attention to detail and a solid commitment to health and safety practices. Your additional responsibilities will include: - Conducting vehicle safety checks - Organizing delivery runs - Loading products onto the truck - Delivering pre-filled LPG cylinders and collecting empty ones Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes: - A clean driver's license with a minimum of six months of Class 2 driving experience, including the ability to drive a manual transmission - Previous experience in delivering goods - Physical fitness, with the capability to lift heavy items during deliveries - A Dangerous Goods license and LPG filling experience (or a willingness to undergo training) - Flexibility and adaptability, with a strong focus on customer service - Proficiency in using handheld computer delivery equipment - A proactive approach to health and safety responsibilities - The ability to satisfactorily pass background checks, including criminal history, ACC history, medical evaluations, and drug and alcohol screening - A team player mentality with a positive, can-do attitude and the flexibility to meet the operational demands Applicants must be New Zealand residents or hold a valid New Zealand work permit and currently reside in the country. Benefits We offer a competitive hourly wage of $30, paid weekly. You will receive assistance in obtaining and maintaining your current Forklift and Dangerous Goods endorsements. Additionally, we provide a uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure you are well-equipped for the job.
