Industrial Electrician - Canterbury

About the Role We have two exciting opportunities for Industrial Electricians at our manufacturing sites located in Christchurch and Ashburton. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and uninterrupted operation of production machinery. You will collaborate closely with the production team to meet targets, addressing any electrical engineering issues promptly and safely. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor an apprentice, helping to develop the next generation of electricians. Requirements To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria: - Hold a full New Zealand Practicing Electrical License (EWRB) - Be proficient in New Zealand electrical standards and regulations for industrial environments - Have a minimum of three years of industrial electrical experience - Be experienced with rotational shift patterns - Be computer literate - Possess a valid New Zealand Work Visa, Residency, or Citizenship You should also have experience in the following areas: - Breakdown and diagnostics in time-pressured scenarios - Specifying and working with electrical systems in hazardous areas - Motor start and control equipment, including direct drive, soft start, and VSDs - PLCs, associated sensing and control equipment, and SCADA systems - Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics Benefits We offer competitive rates starting at $40 per hour or a salary of $105,000 and above, depending on experience.
