About the Role
We currently have an opening in our Residential and Recovery Service. This part-time position requires 16 hours of work each week, specifically on Fridays and Saturdays from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, based in Christchurch.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Advocating for and supporting individuals to thrive and achieve wellness
- Connecting clients with resources that promote healthy living and resilience
- Assisting individuals in building meaningful connections within their communities
- Promoting positive changes that lead to improved quality of life
- Providing medication support to clients
- Assisting with household management tasks
- Managing a caseload and fulfilling all reporting requirements
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience working in a community environment, particularly within the mental health and addictions sector
- A preferred Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognized equivalent. For equivalency information, please visit the Ministry of Health website
- A full driver's license
- A current first aid certificate or a willingness to obtain one within two months of starting the position
- Knowledge of and a commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
