Description
About the Company
We are a leading civil company dedicated to ensuring that New Zealand's roads remain safe and efficient. Our commitment to our people, investment in modern equipment, and passion for our work set us apart in the civil sector.
About the Role
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and hardworking labourers to join our team in the civil sector, where you will play a vital role in keeping Kiwi roads flowing smoothly. This position involves a variety of tasks, including assisting with machinery operations and the replacement of safety barriers. We value teamwork and are seeking individuals who are ready to tackle a diverse range of responsibilities on-site.
Your work will primarily take place in the wider Canterbury and Mackenzie regions. While you will typically be home on weekends, there may be occasions when you need to stay away for up to three weeks at a time. We will cover all accommodation and food expenses, and provide generous allowances during these periods.
Requirements
While experience in the civil sector is preferred, it is not mandatory, as we offer comprehensive training. What we do require is a strong willingness to learn, the ability to listen and follow instructions, and a readiness to engage in tasks ranging from routine to exciting.
This role will involve working outdoors for extended hours, so a good work ethic and resilience are essential.
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- A full Class 1 New Zealand Driver's Licence (higher classes and endorsements are advantageous)
- The ability to pass pre-employment checks, including drug and alcohol testing and a criminal history check
- The right to work in New Zealand, with relevant documentation
- A current CV with contactable references
Benefits
Joining our team means more than just a job; it offers an opportunity to work in some of the most beautiful parts of our region and gain valuable experience in the civil sector. This is a temporary role expected to last until the end of Autumn, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidates.
We offer a competitive weekly wage, along with generous allowances for travel expenses.
