About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist to join our dedicated team at Waikato Hospital, one of the largest tertiary hospitals in the country. In this role, you will be integral to providing imaging services to patients within the General Radiology department. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive imaging services for trauma cases, as well as for inpatients and outpatients. Collaboration with other health professionals and multidisciplinary teams will be a key aspect of your daily work. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires you to work 40 hours per week on a rotating roster, which includes various shifts. Key Responsibilities - Provide high-quality diagnostic imaging in a timely manner. - Deliver safe, respectful, effective, and efficient patient care while ensuring optimal service delivery. - Participate in a rotating shift roster. - Uphold and meet registration and regulatory continuing professional development (CPD) requirements. - Foster a collaborative team culture and work effectively as part of a team. The salary for this position will be based on your experience and will align with the APEX Medical Imaging Technologist Collective Agreement. About the Team/Service The General Radiology department at Waikato Hospital is focused on expanding our services to meet the growing demands in healthcare. We strive to create a positive culture and a supportive work environment for all our staff. About You To be considered for this role, you will need the following skills and experience: - Registration with the Medical Imaging Technologist Board of New Zealand (MRTB). - A current Annual Practising Certificate (APC). - Clinical experience in general radiography. - Engagement in continuing professional development that meets all MRTB requirements. - A broad knowledge of emergency, general, modality, and trauma imaging at a tertiary level. - Proficiency in IT systems and applications. - The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
