About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist to join our CT department on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be part of a busy, collaborative team engaged in interesting and challenging cases. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing CT team at a leading tertiary trauma hospital.
As a key member of our team, you will work in a fast-paced environment with cutting-edge technology. You will collaborate with experienced professionals to provide critical imaging services that directly impact patient outcomes in trauma, emergency, and acute care settings.
You will have the chance to engage with a wide range of procedures and cases that will enhance your skills and foster your professional development. In this vital role, you will ensure the delivery of quality imaging, effectively manage daily workflows, and uphold the highest standards of safety for both staff and patients during all procedures.
Our roster includes shift work designed to support a healthy work-life balance, allowing you time for personal commitments. The salary for this position will be determined based on your experience and will align with the APEX Medical Imaging Technologist Collective Agreement. Additional benefits include KiwiSaver contributions (if eligible), shift allowances, and access to professional development and wellness support.
About the Team/Service
Our CT team comprises 20 part-time and full-time Medical Imaging Technologists, 5 nurses, and 3 clinical assistants. Together, we play a significant role in maintaining the department's full capacity while operating 3 CT scanners. Our focus is on creating a positive culture and a supportive work environment for all our staff.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have full registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologist Board, a general scope of practice, and a current practicing certificate. You should possess strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal abilities. A commitment to improving service performance is essential.
As a team member in the CT Department, your responsibilities will include on-call duties, including weekends.
