About the Role
We are excited to offer a Junior Project Engineer position based in Mt. Wellington. This full-time, permanent role guarantees a minimum of 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. As a Junior Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technically sound and cost-effective drawings, specifications, reports, engineering investigations, and solutions that align with practical construction and tendering needs.
Your responsibilities will include preparing technical documentation following best engineering practices, reviewing engineering work, and advising on design outputs. You will also be involved in conceptual design, promoting concepts to prospective clients in collaboration with bid teams as necessary. Additionally, you will provide technical support to estimators, maintenance and construction staff, subcontractors, and project managers.
It is essential to understand and implement our health and safety policy, ensuring your own safety and that of others. You will be expected to comply with all reasonable instructions and procedures to help us meet our obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Omexom integrated management system.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you should possess either a Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical Engineering and demonstrate a track record in engineering design within the Electrical Power Sector. A solid understanding of industry standards, technical issues, and procedural matters is crucial.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities, are also key to succeeding in this position.
