About the Role
We are excited to announce a full-time, permanent opportunity for a Technical Coordinator based in Mt. Wellington. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned technical field staff. Your focus will be on ensuring customer satisfaction, timely project delivery, and effective on-site coordination, all while adhering to safety and quality standards to meet or exceed job bid targets.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and coordinating work in collaboration with Project Managers, Design staff, customers, and the technical team.
- Developing and implementing cost-effective methodologies and procedures to meet contract requirements without compromising safety, environmental standards, or quality.
- Scheduling resources for technical projects alongside Project Managers.
- Coordinating assigned technical staff and providing guidance to maintain productivity and positive industrial relations.
- Assisting in scoping new potential contracts to ensure competitive bids.
- Supporting Project Managers with progress claims, cost assessments for scope changes, and technical reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with company event reporting procedures and assisting with incident investigations as necessary.
- Staying informed about work health and safety matters.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A live line qualification and/or a relevant tertiary qualification from a polytechnic.
- Hands-on experience in distribution network installation and maintenance.
- A thorough understanding of current regulatory and industry requirements for electrical work.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to write concise reports.
