About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Line Mechanic to join our Auckland Energy Services team. This hands-on position involves the construction and maintenance of Vector's overhead network assets. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and connectivity of our network for our customers.
Your responsibilities will include installing and replacing poles, conductors, and associated overhead equipment. You will collaborate with your team to deliver high-quality work that adheres to industry standards, while also championing a safety-first culture in every aspect of your work. Building effective relationships with team members, clients, suppliers, and the wider community will be essential. Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current EWRB Registration
- Proven experience in overhead line work
- A valid New Zealand Driver Licence (Class 2 licence is highly desirable)
- A strong commitment to safety and a positive, can-do attitude
- The physical fitness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
