About the Role As a Heavy Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of a variety of heavy machinery, including diggers, excavators, rollers, and articulated dump trucks. Your role will involve assisting with earthworks, site preparation, and a range of construction tasks. You will work closely with site supervisors and fellow crew members to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities - Safely operate and maintain a range of heavy machinery, including but not limited to diggers, excavators, rollers, and articulated dump trucks. - Assist with earthworks, site preparation, and various construction tasks. - Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any maintenance issues. - Collaborate with site supervisors and other crew members to complete tasks on time and to a high standard. About You We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: - Class 1, 2, or 4 Full New Zealand Driver's Licenses with WTR (Wheels, Tracks, and Rollers) endorsements. - Proven experience operating heavy machinery on construction or civil works sites. - The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required. - Excellent communication skills. - A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
