About the Role We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Patient Services Manager (Food) to join our Medirest team at Auckland City Hospital. This is a permanent, full-time position, and while a dietetic background is ideal, it is not a strict requirement. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and managing the patient services component of our contract, ensuring compliance with Compass Group standards as well as client expectations. Your primary focus will be on overseeing food service from the kitchen to the patient, consistently delivering high-quality services. You will manage, develop, and train all team members to ensure compliance and achieve net growth and retention targets, all while embodying the Compass Group Vision and Values. You will be responsible for: - Developing and maintaining effective business relationships and identifying new business opportunities. - Establishing, monitoring, and ensuring quality customer service practices. - Managing costs related to goods and food within the workplace and maintaining finances within budget. - Ensuring a safe and secure workplace. - Leading the menu processing team and ward catering associates. - Acting as an ambassador for outstanding customer service and patient satisfaction related to food services. - Delivering training sessions on service standards, nutrition, food safety, and allergen management. - Building relationships with patients and hospital staff, including dietitians, clinicians, and ward staff, to ensure appropriate meals are prepared and delivered to complex patients. Requirements To succeed as a Patient Services Manager, you should be: - Confident in building strong relationships with hospital employees. - Capable of guiding team members on a daily basis. - Knowledgeable about compliance with food and health safety systems. - Committed to delivering great customer service with each high-quality, nutritious meal. Preferably, you will hold a dietetic or relevant nutritional degree and have experience in a similar role. A positive attitude is essential, as we value individuals who are approachable and willing to get involved. Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, is also necessary.
