About the Company New World Mt Albert is excited to re-establish itself in the local community with a completely rebuilt store, which opened in October 2024. Our new location features an impressive range of offerings, including grocery, butchery, deli, bakery, produce, and liquor. We are dedicated to providing an exceptional shopping experience and are currently seeking a talented Produce 2IC to join our passionate team. About the Role As the Produce 2IC, you will play a vital role in helping us shape the way we deliver produce to our customers every day. You will support the Produce Manager in achieving department targets and operational standards while assisting with buying and ordering to ensure our product range aligns with customer demand and store format. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a department that is full, fresh, and visually appealing at all times, as well as leading and motivating the team to provide an outstanding customer experience. Shift Schedule Your working hours will be as follows: Sunday to Monday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Tuesday to Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Please be aware that shifts may be subject to change periodically. Requirements We are looking for candidates who have: - A genuine passion for fresh produce and excellent presentation. - Previous experience in produce or fresh departments. - Confidence in using SAP/Fresh Buy and familiarity with fresh ordering systems. - Strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively lead a small team. - A current forklift license is a bonus.
