About the Role
We are seeking empathetic and passionate Support Workers to join our specialist team in the Hamilton branch area. Our teams are our most valuable asset, and we are dedicated to hiring and training the best people. If you are energetic and motivated, we invite you to support individuals in their own homes.
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients achieve their goals and reach their full potential by providing both practical and emotional support. Your responsibilities will vary based on individual care plans and may include the following:
- Meal preparation
- Community outings and integration
- Administering medication
- Personal care tasks (such as showering and toileting)
- Bowel management and manual handling
- Hoist transfers
- Home management
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others, striving for excellence in all tasks
- Previous healthcare or caregiving experience (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent communication skills and the flexibility to work on alternative weekends
- Healthcare qualifications (advantageous)
- A full NZ driver's license and reliable transport (most positions require this)

At HealthCare NZ, we offer competitive pay rates ranging from $23.97 to $29.68 per hour, along with a variety of shifts to suit your schedule. You will have the opportunity to earn while you learn through free training towards NZQA health and wellbeing qualifications.
