About the Role
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate caregivers in the Hamilton region to join our team. This role offers flexible and casual work opportunities, allowing you to tailor your schedule to fit your lifestyle and commitments.
Our caregivers provide a wide range of services, from companionship to palliative care, which means there are various shifts available. Each shift has a minimum duration of three hours, with many shifts extending longer. We are particularly in need of caregivers for morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts. While we cannot guarantee hours due to the nature of our flexible service for clients, we offer you the ability to choose your preferred working days, ensuring you can maintain your personal commitments.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a full, current New Zealand driver’s license and have prior experience with personal care. We operate an after-hours service seven days a week, so if you work on weekends, you will have access to a dedicated coordinator for support when needed.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in the following areas:
- Companionship and home-help, including light housekeeping
- Meal preparation
- Personal cares, such as showering, dressing, and grooming
- Dementia care
- Palliative care
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Recent caregiving or healthcare experience
- A clean, full New Zealand driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- The legal right to work in New Zealand (a valid working visa is required)
- A clear background and criminal record check
