Caregiver - Full Time

About the Company Ryman Healthcare is a leading provider of retirement living and aged care, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. We are currently looking for five full-time Caregivers to join our welcoming team at the James Wattie Retirement Village in Havelock North. About the Role In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing compassionate care to our residents. We require candidates to hold either a Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, or a Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent. Your role will involve working a minimum of 30 hours per week, with an hourly wage ranging from $27.88 to $30.40, depending on your experience. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: - Assisting with care and personal needs in accordance with the care plan and under the direction of a Registered Nurse - Observing and promptly reporting any changes in a resident's status or behavior to the Registered Nurse or senior staff - Ensuring the safety, privacy, and comfort of residents at all times - Demonstrating empathy and understanding of residents' needs while providing support - Documenting care provided to residents accurately and in a timely manner We emphasize the importance of flexibility and reliability as essential qualities for this position. A variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, will be required.
