About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team in a busy airport environment. In this role, you will be responsible for both scheduled and reactive maintenance, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and safely behind the scenes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing general maintenance and engineering tasks to a high standard
- Scheduling your work around aircraft movements
- Utilizing IT systems to manage terminal duties
- Ordering supplies and materials as needed
- Ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to contract specifications
- Complying with all Citycare policies and procedures
- Working professionally with clients and the public
- Keeping health and safety as a top priority
- Promptly reporting any issues to your supervisor
- Participating in a rotating on-call roster (one week in every four)
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should bring the following:
- A minimum of five years of experience in general engineering
- A trade certificate in an engineering discipline
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive results
- Experience in welding, fabrication, and sheet metal work
- A problem-solving mindset, eager to roll up your sleeves and deliver practical solutions
- Expertise in health and safety, with a strong understanding of risk mitigation
