About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in a position that requires immediate availability. In this role, you will be responsible for performing equipment maintenance to optimize yard operations and enhance productivity.
You will participate in preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all plant equipment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Adhering to routine maintenance plans is essential, and you will be expected to accurately complete all relevant maintenance records. Additionally, you will assist production team members with their general duties and ensure that all work is conducted in strict compliance with our site safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should have experience in a similar role and a flexible approach to working with both operations and maintenance teams. A high attention to detail is crucial, as is a strong motivation to achieve quality work in a safe manner. Effective communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
A basic understanding of engineering processes, particularly in general welding and oxy cutting, is required.
Desirable criteria include a Forklift ticket and/or Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) certification, as well as experience working with heavy engineering equipment. A background in mechanical engineering, welding, and conveyor operations, along with knowledge of engineering processes and principles, would be advantageous.
