About the Role
We are excited to offer a Full-Time position for a Senior Lead Chef at Ryman's Miriam Corban Retirement Village in Henderson, Auckland. This role requires a commitment from Sunday to Thursday, with hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
As a Senior Lead Chef, you will:
- Lead and inspire our kitchen and café team to create a dining experience that is “good enough for mum or dad.”
- Prepare delicious meals from our seasonal menus, ensuring a rich variety of flavors and nutrition.
- Develop menus and create specialty dishes for fine dining experiences and events.
- Manage staff rosters, support menu development, and trial new recipes while catering to various dietary needs.
- Prioritize health and safety in all kitchen operations.
About You
To thrive in our supportive and rewarding environment, we are looking for candidates who possess:
- Extensive experience as a Head Chef, with a proven track record of leading a team and managing a kitchen that caters to large groups or functions.
- Outstanding communication skills, coupled with a reliable, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- A qualification in Cookery or an equivalent credential.
