About the Role We are seeking candidates for a role in our Psychiatry department, which includes opportunities for progression to a registrar position. In this position, you will assess the mental and physical states of patients, provide preliminary diagnoses and treatments, and contribute to the development of comprehensive mental health services across our facilities. You will collaborate closely with psychiatrists and be part of a team of nine Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) who share after-hours duties. Start Date: 19 January 2026 Please note that this position is part of the RMO Annual Recruitment Cycle for 2026, and current vacancies will be advertised separately. Requirements Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes: - Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligibility for general or provisional general registration.
