We are currently looking for a motivated Full-Time Demi Chef to become a valued member of our highly successful kitchen team.
About the Role
As a Demi Chef, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking a diverse range of modern and contemporary New Zealand cuisine, alongside various international dishes. Your contributions will help us offer our patrons an extensive variety of dining options.
In this position, you will assist with on-site and off-site catering and prepare meals for our staff. We expect you to be comfortable working independently, efficiently managing your section, and being flexible in taking on other sections as needed. Effective communication with the Front of House team is essential to maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of one year of commercial a la carte restaurant experience
- The ability to guide other chefs and manage a busy service from the front
- A passion for delivering outstanding culinary offerings that delight our patrons
- Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn from our highly skilled Chef de Partie, Sous Chefs, and Food and Beverage Manager
