At OneStaff, we take pride in connecting skilled individuals with exciting opportunities. We are currently seeking fit and reliable labourers to assist in setting up event structures, marquees, and grandstands for various upcoming events in the Christchurch area.
About the Role
In this role, you will play a critical part in the successful execution of events. Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing, setting up, and dismantling marquees and grandstands
- Installing temporary fences and flooring
- Performing physical labour and heavy lifting
- Managing waste and rubbish disposal
- Conducting litter picking to maintain cleanliness at event sites
- Providing general labour support as needed
We offer shifts every day of the week, from Monday to Sunday, with varying start times and locations. We welcome candidates with flexible availability. Please note that some locations may not be easily accessible by public transport, so having your own reliable vehicle is essential.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience with marquee installation
- Comfort with heavy lifting
- Strong communication skills
- A reliable and dependable work ethic
As part of our recruitment process, successful applicants will need to undergo a pre-employment drug test and a Ministry of Justice criminal conviction history check.
